We are Tonny van de Wiel (COO) and Henk Berkhof (CEO), founders of Body Repair Solutions Europe BV.

We share a deep passion for the automotive industry, each bringing over 20 years of experience across various roles in this dynamic field.

Around 2014, both of us were working at Tesla, where Henk led the European collision repair program, and Tonny was part of the technical support team. This is where our paths crossed, and soon after, Tonny joined Henk's team to further expand Tesla's collision repair operations across Europe and the Middle East. Over seven years, we not only developed our careers but also built a world-class collision repair program, establishing over 350 certified collision partners in 28 countries across the EMEA region. Additionally, Henk was responsible for managing Tesla's paint facility at the assembly plant in the Netherlands and launching Tesla’s first company-owned collision center in Europe.

In June 2021, Henk transitioned to Rivian, a company preparing its expansion into Europe, where he took charge of their collision repair program. Tonny subsequently assumed responsibility for Tesla’s third-party collision program.

Shortly thereafter, in October 2021, Tonny joined Henk at Rivian. Unfortunately, this venture ended less than 18 months later. Not long afterward, Tonny took on the role of leading Fisker’s collision program across Europe, but this position lasted about a year due to Fisker's decision to end its European operations.

In August 2024, we reconnected, sparking the idea of establishing our own business. Over the past decade, we've formed an exceptional team, complementing each other's strengths. Together, we recognized the significant challenges facing the collision repair industry and wanted to leverage our combined experience, knowledge, and extensive network to support OEMs, insurers, leasing companies, and fleet operators in developing industry-leading collision programs.

Thus, in November 2024, Body Repair Solutions Europe BV was founded.
